On Friday 24 May and Saturday 25 May we were delighted to host two very unique client event incorporated in to this fabulous weekend long festival...
Quayside Wealth Management proudly supported the Gloucester Tall Ships and Adventure Festival which returned to the City on May bank holiday weekend. We’re thrilled to have been a sponsor and to participate in the local event in the heart of the City!
Six majestic ships sailed into Gloucester Docks to mark the start of the biggest waterfront extravaganza the city had seen. In addition to the tall ships, there were an exciting array of events and entertainment taking place around the Docks including, Food & Drink, a Live Music Stage, Free Arts & Crafts for the children, Jack Sparrow & Pirates, Craft Stalls, Food Stalls and so much more. Over 200,000 visitors attended the award-winning event taking place between May 25th and May 27th at Gloucester Docks and some of those were our clients.
On the eve of the Festival Andrina and Alex were lucky enough, with several clients to sail in to the docks aboard the tall ship La Malouine. Our clients enjoyed a couple of glasses of fizz and a light afternoon tea and were welcomed by waving crowds as they entered the basin. Each and everyone commented on what a unique experience this was, Alex and Andrina too.
Once the festival was in full flow, a new attraction caught a couple of our client’s attention (who also had a go!), a 1,000 ft-long zip wire which ran from one side of the docks to the other. After watching others take part, none of the Quayside took the opportunity of the unique views across the basin but those who did claimed to throughly enjoy it.
To share this experience, Quayside invited clients to visit the festival over the weekend at their own leisure and as a special treat to close the first day, to add to the celebrations and to get a close up view of the Ships, hosted drinks and canapés back aboard the La Malouine Tall Ship. The captain of the boat Roy, welcomed us and gave those who wanted it a tour below deck.
As a business proud to be located in the City, the event was something we wanted to support front he first opportunity we were given and we’d like to say a special thank you to Jason Smith and his team at Marketing Gloucester who assisted us with the organisation. We look forward to 2021 where we can hopefully do it all again.
